Affiliation
The school was initially sanctioned composite affiliation for Secondary School Examination of CBSE up to 31.03.2009 as per No. 930618, and for Senior Secondary School Certificate up to 31.03.2011. The sanction for Secondary School Examination and Senior School Certificate Examination was further extended up to 31.03.2016
The school has been declared as a minority education institution just fiction covered U/S 2(g) of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institution Act 2004.
Curriculum and Groups offered
The curriculum prescribed by the CBSE is followed English is the medium of instruction Hindi is taught as second language up to std VIII. Malayalam and Arabic are third language taught up to Std X. The following groups are offered in senior secondary classes.
1.English, Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology
2.English, Physics, Chemistry, Maths and CS
3. English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics practices and Malayalam
Examination and Open Houses
Of late, CBSE has introduced a new system of assessment and evaluation namely Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation(CCE) for its affiliated schools In this system the evaluation shall be a continuous process and all inclusive approach of assessment of the scholastic and co-scholastic abilities of the students are done as per the rate of their growth and development. Classes VI to X are assessed under three domains/parts
Part I consists of formative assessment (FA) and Summative Assessment(SA) which covers the scholastic area.
The FA is a tool used by the teacher to continuously monitor pupils progress in a non-threatening and supportive environment. FA comprises of assignments, projects, practical work, debate, quiz, homework etc. The marks obtained by the students will be converted into grades. There will be four formative Assessments in an academic year.
The SA (Summative Assessment) which is the terminal assessment of performance at the end of instruction periods, measures how much a student learned from the course. This assessment will be in the form of a pen-paper test.
There will be two Summative assessment during an academic year In order to keep students abreast with 21st century life skills CBSE has introduced multiple modes of other assessment such as problem solving assessment (PSA), Open Text Based Assessment(OTBA), Assessment of speaking & listening skills(ASL) and Value based questions
Consists of Co-Scholastic Assessment
The desirable behavior related to learners life skills, work education, visual and performing arts, attitudes and values are described as skills to be acquired in co-scholastic domain.
Consists of co-curricular Assessment.
It calls attention to certain activities, health and physical education.
The inherent and untapped potentials of the students are brought out through various activities. Apart from the scholastic subjects school gives proper stress on various activities. As per CBSE guide lines a number of co-curricular items have been included in the time table such as Yoga, Karate, Music, Craft, Dance, etc. Certain performing arts which are vanishing gradually/disappearing From modern stages like, ‘Daff” and ‘Kolkali’ have been included in this category
Daff : The dancers clad in white, sing religious songs and beat on a small drum-like musical instrument.
Kolkali : A kind of dance in which dancers rhythmically beat one’s stick against other’s.
The formative and summative assessments, in two terms are held tentatively, as follows:

Formative Assessment 2: in August
Summative Assessment1: in September
II Term
Formative Assessment 3 : November/December
Formative Assessment 4 : February
Summative Assessment 2: March
There will be open houses after completion of each assessment Parents are expected to come personally and collect the answer scripts and progress cards of their wards.
